What credit card legislation means for you

Consumers scored a major victory Tuesday as the Senate voted overwhelmingly in favor of a bill that restricts unfair credit card practices. The Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act passed by a 90-5 margin. The bill comes on the heels of similar legislation, known as the Credit Cardholders Bill of Rights, that was approved by the House on April 30, in a 457 to 70 vote.
So what do both bill mean for your wallet? Let's look at the key provisions:
Retroactive rate hikes:both bills ban hikes to interest rates on existing balances.
Penalty periods:If you are late and your rate goes up, the Senate bill states that if you pay your bill on time for 6 months in a row, you can reclaim the lower rate.
Advance notification: Time was, your issuer could jack your card''s rate and only give you 15 days notice. No more, both bills require that you be given 45 days notice before making significant interest rate, fee and finance charge increases.
Teaser rates: Both bill require that promotional rates must be offered for at least six months.
Over -the-limit fees: Before, if you tried to charge above our credit limit, the issuer would approve the transaction and slap you with an "over-the-limit" fee. Now, consumers must opt in for over-the-limit approval-and the fees that come with it.

Financial Vitamin for today is: Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Notice what this reads, David pen that he has been young and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken he did not say he have not seen righteous people begging bread yet God will never leave them. But God will let you beg for bread if you let you beg for bread. He goes on to say that the righteous seed, that means your children will not have to beg for bread.

We read that we should continually say, let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity not poverty, but prosperity of his servant. And if God has pleasure in the prosperity of a servant than you know He will have pleasure in His son's and daughters. Praise God!

Financial Vitamin for today is: Psalm 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

God lets us know we don't haven't have to suffer lack all we need to do is seek Him and we shall not want any good thing. Notice it reads ANY GOOD THING. I'm not being funny here I just want you to notice it didn't say spiritual thing he didn't even say material thing. He say's ANY GOOD THING! Which has to include both spiritual and natural things that are good.

Good afternoon all, it's 70 and climbing here in TN with a little rain. Financial Vitamin for today is a continuation from yesterday Psalm 23:5-6 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Notice that God prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies, that has to be down here on earth not haven because there are no enemies in haven. This is comforting informing us that while we are here on earth enemies may confront us but don't worry a table is prepared for you to defeat them. And just like if I prepared a wedding table for you to eat you will have a selection of food to pick from based on your appetite to satisfy your desire and want. The same is true with this divine table; whatever the devil throws at you just select the necessary defensive weapon prepared by God and placed on this table.

He also anointest our head making available His power to get results and watch what happens our cup runneth over that is more than enough for you and someone else without having to look over your shoulder once you get it; as goodness and mercy is following you all the days of your life. Then He shows us how to keep this process going each and everyday of our lives; By dwelling that means making your abode or home in the house of the Lord for ever. Not every now and again or when you need something but forever!
